The landscapes around us constantly remind us how small we are and how magical the world can be. We just need to look closely.
My landscape paintings are what they are. Landscapes I am drawn to. Places I think about all the time. Places I have visited and spent time in. Others are imagined. I think we are naturally drawn to certain things and places. We like what we like. There is no explanation as to why. It is part of our nature and best enjoyed to its full potential.
Life is a thousand little miracles. An endless movement of light and color. We need to take our moments to take it all in. Touch the grass, close our eyes for a moment and focus on one moment or place that makes us really happy. I hope my landscape paintings remind us of that when we pass them in our homes.
